Dawn's background with dogs and in education married perfectly when she became a mother in the late 80s, and found herself raising small children and puppies together.
In those early years between diaper changing and crate training, she began to put pen to paper regarding some of the challenges families face when trying to integrate puppies into familiy life with small children. Since then, she has been published in several DC-area publications including the Hill Rag, Washington Post, Dog Fancy, and NewsWest 9.com - The Daily Dog Interview.
